Városminor Chamber Choir was founded in Budapest in 2004 by ambitious amateurs who have a crush on music. Besides the urge for singing, its members are also connected through amity and affinity. The diverse repertoire contains several baroque and renaissance works, 20th century spirituals and folk songs and contemporary Hungarian and international compositions.

The choir won 3rd prize on the Pécs International Chamber Choir Competition in 2007, received silver diploma with the 3rd highest score in its category at the Rimini International Choir Competition in 2009, won 1st prize in chamber choir category at the Fifth Hungarian Kodály Choir Competition in 2009. We also received two special prizes for best artistic performance and our conductor, Andrea Ney was awarded a seat at the International Conductor’s Course in Debrecen in 2010.
The choir also participated in several Hungarian and international music festivals,  Hajnalok Völgye, Diósgyőr Festival, Zemplén Music Festival, Culture Bath Budapest.

The choir is conducted by Andrea Ney.
